Treatment of seasonal allergies

On the treatment of seasonal allergies

With the recent shift towards spring temperatures, there have been an increase in the number of patients seeking treatment for seasonal allergies. The seasonal allergy issue usually consists of multiple factors and can be categorized as follows:

Stuffy nose or runny, dry cough – This is usually due to damp heat which is stuck in the nasal passages or chest area.

Itchy or swelling eyes – This is usually due to blood stagnation or heat in the blood.

Sensitive gut – Often with seasonal allergies there is an underlying issue with sensitive gut. Some patients may find that there are some foods they cannot tolerate well, for example dairy, gluten, red meat, etc. There may be other symptoms such as acid reflux, heartburn, loose stools. This issue usually needs to be addressed because sensitivity of the gut causes sensitivity of the entire body and make it prone to inflammatory conditions (such as seasonal allergies, or even other auto-immune conditions).

Our herbal and acupuncture treatments address all of the factors above comprehensively and can offer rapid relief of symptoms even when anti-histamines cease working. I had previously posted a case study for seasonal allergy treatment back in 2023. Since then, the treatment process has been further streamlined and we strive to get results within 1-2 weeks.
