Lingering effects of concussion – 41 year old female – Resolved in 2 weeks
This case describes a patient who had lingering symptoms from a concussion two years after the initial injury. Her symptoms were resolved after two weeks of herbal treatment.
Visit 1: November 16, 2025
Presentation: Patient (41 year old female) is presenting with lingering symptoms from a previous concussion, where she hit the back of her head. After the concussion she suffered from constant migraines, sensitive hearing, right sided facial pain, blurry vision, dizziness, fatigue and tingling on right side. Symptoms have persisted for 2 years.
Other: Occasional palpitations and nausea.

Patient had prior experience with Traditional Chinese Medicine so opted for herbal treatment only.

Presentation: Patient felt herbs had helped with tension on right side of body. However, sometimes if patient adopts incorrect posture then symptoms still occur.

Visit 3: November 29, 2025 (7 days later)
Presentation:Patient is doing very well. Concussion symptoms have resolved. She is visiting today to treat a separate unrelated issue.
Patient returned for treatment after her initial concussion symptoms had resolved, for a separate unrelated issue. Patient later suffered a recurrence of concussion symptoms after getting into another accident, and symptoms were resolved within 3 weeks using a similar prescription.
